According to top universities responsible for training graduate teachers, educating children how to think creatively & solve global problems should take precedence over specific subject areas such as English, mathematics and science

 

Luke Grant is joined by Dr Kevin Donnelly, Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Catholic University & the co-author of the Review of the Australian Curriculum, who says moving away from NAPLAN-style assessments to measure student progress “amount to a recipe for disaster guaranteed to further dumb down the curriculum”.
