Tinder celebrates its 10th birthday

Bill Woods

Bill Woods talks to Relationship Coach Debbie Rivers, about the popular dating app Tinder which turned 10 this week and has completely changed the way people date.

In 2012, people mostly met in real life and there was a stigma attached to online dating, but Tinder has changed that forever.

Now there’s four billion swipes everyday with singles looking for sex or love. Ms Rivers said there are positives and negatives to online dating.

“There have been countless marriages and babies, but for every love story there’s a horror story like the Tinder Swindler,” she says.

“Tinder puts you in contact with people you may not have crossed paths with in real life, but also makes it easier to be flaky, rude and unkind and behave in a way you wouldn’t face to face.”
