The Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is back on Boxing Day

After being cancelled last year because of COVID, the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is only just around the corner.

Starting at 1pm on Boxing Day the race this year is expected to be a bumpy one with expert race reporter Steve Barker saying once the boats round Sydney Heads they’ll head straight into a southerly.

Skipper of Ichiban, Matt Allen, says his boat is ready to challenge for a rare third victory in the handicap category.

Race reporter Steve Barker and Skipper of Ichiban Matt Allen join Luke Grant to unpack the upcoming Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
