The Sydney Harbour Bridge turns 90 today and it continues to be the most researched Sydney landmark at the State Library. Maggie discusses why the Bridge has such an emotional connection for so many Sydneysiders and the impact that its construction had on the economy at the time, However despite people being uprooted to make way for it and it being way over budget, it’s still a treasured icon that evokes great memories for so many people.
