The stories behind Australian sporting legend and billiard world champion Walter Lindrum

Sir Donald Bradman is quoted to have said “Walter was the greatest billiards player who ever lived”. Walter held the World Professional Billiard title from 1933 until 1950 and held 57 world records of which 56 are still standing. And all this after losing the tip of his index finger at the age of 3 which led to his father teaching him to play billiards left-handed. A true Aussie sporting legend.
