The devastating impact of ageism

Bill Woods

The issue of ageism is still very prevalent in society. It’s an issue that isn’t often spoken about but can drastically affect the older members of our community.

Warren Moore talks to Patricia Sparrow, CEO of the Council of Ageing, about how ageism is as big of a problem as sexism and racism.

Patrica explains how older Australians are being discriminated against in the employment market and how ageist attitudes are pervasive in the community, where older people aren’t valued in the same way as others.
