The COVID-19 drug we’ve all been waiting for
Finally we have some positive COVID-19 news.
Researchers in Melbourne have created a new nasal spray that could prevent COVID-19 infections.
It only requires a couple of sprays a day, it’s cheap, and it can be easily stored.
The leading mind behind the new drug Professor Don Campbell says the blood clotting drug Heparin can be tailored and used in the fight against COVID-19.
He says it acts by blocking the initial infection in the nose.
The spray will now go through a six month clinical trial before potentially hitting the pharmacy shelves.
Professor Don Campbell joins Luke Grant to discuss an exciting new nasal spray which could be used to prevent COVID-19 infections.
