Luke Grant speaks to David Culbert, General Manager, Marketing, Communications and community for Commonwealth Games Australia and Commonwealth Games and Olympic long jumper as the The Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay arrives in Sydney.

The relay has already been to Queensland but this morning it’s headed to the Sydney Cricket Ground among other Sydney venues and will be joined by Aussie sporting royalty including Dawn Fraser and Ian Thorpe.

This year the Queen’s Baton Relay will not be a formal relay as such due to the global pandemic but will be part of a number of community activations involving Commonwealth Games heroes, aspiring Birmingham Games athletes, cultural leaders and change makers.
