Temporary Protection Visas abolished for 19,000 boat arrivals

Luke is joined by Abul Rizvi, former deputy secretary of the Department of Immigration & author of “Population Shock”, about the Albanese government abolished Temporary Protection Visas (TPVs) by providing a pathway to permanent residence for around 19,000 legacy boat arrivals living in Australia for about a decade.

Dr Rizvi also discusses the pathway to permanent residence for workers brought to Australia under the temporary resident Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme.
