SUV’s now account for more than 50 per cent of new vehicles sold
One observation over the Xmas Holiday break was the number of SUVs on the road – such a practical body configuration especially for a family with its passenger/luggage configuration – in this country there popularity has seen them eclipse the sales of the family sedan. Five years ago it was 37.4 percent. There is now over 150 SUV models on the Australian market, the numbers swelled in recent years by the light SUV category which now has 17 players.
