Supermarket milk prices: ‘udder chaos’

There’s increasing pressure on the major supermarkets to increase the price of their own branded milk to one-dollar-50 per litre.

The peak industry body has made a submission to the Senate dairy inquiry, spelling out the risks of the price of milk continuing to be below the cost of production.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Australia Dairy Farmers Chief Executive David Inall says without a sustainable milk price, there is no dairy industry.
