Shoppers frustrated by the cost of carbon neutral food

Environmentally conscious shoppers now have the option to spend more for  carbon neutral food at the supermarket.

Some Australians are choosing to pay an extra $6 per kilo for carbon neutral beef, an extra $3 per kilo for carbon neutral pork, and nearly $10 for a dozen carbon neutral eggs.

Luke chats with Australian Pork CEO, Margo Andrae, who says Australian pork producers are  working hard to lower the emissions of their product but escalating costs for farmers in are flowing on to the end purchaser.
