It’s the largest aquaculture crop in the world, but there is no seaweed commercially produced in Australia.

Researchers will spend six months at a laboratory at Bribrie Island, off the Queensland coast, to see if it’s commercially viable.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Aquaculture Associate Professor Nicholas Paul to find out more.
