Resilient dairy farmers begin fire recovery

The recovery effort after fires in South West Victoria is underway less than two days after thousands of animals were killed, and about 40,000 hectares were burnt.

At least 18 homes, 42 dairy and machinery sheds have been destroyed in the farming communities of Terang, Cobden, Penshurst, and Camperdown.

Cooler conditions, and some rain overnight has helped firefighters get on top of the bushfires.
