Rain welcomed, but drought won’t be over until farmers harvest

The wet autumn many parts of Victoria and New South Wales are experiencing is being described as one of the best autumn breaks in decades.

But after consecutive years of dry conditions, farmers are reminding us the drought won’t be broken until a harvest is complete.

Rural editor Eddie Summerfield speaks with Victorian Farmers Federation President David Jochinke, and New South Wales Farmers Vice President Chris Groves to find out more.
