On Thursday, the airline unveiled a record pre-tax profit of $2.47 billion. Now despite Alan Joyce being reported to be leaving Qantas with a $24 million golden handshake, it seems his exit is going to be complicated by having to be answerable, not only to the outcry of dissatisfied customers, but also a Senate enquiry on Monday into cost-of-living pressures.
