A $20 million plant breeding centre has been officially opened in South Australia.

The centre is home to state of the art glass houses, growth rooms and will be key to developing new wheat, barley, canola, and lupin varieties.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield caught up with Australian Grain Technologies Chief Executive Dr Haydn Kuchel.
