Peugeot as a brand has struggled in recent years however a new importer and a revitalized dealer network plus some new models are expected to lift the French imports profile. February will bring a new Peugeot SUV flagship, the 5008, a seven-seater, joining the smaller 3008 launched several months back which has quickly become Peugeot Australia’s top-seller – the 5008 uses the same
engines as the 3008 – 1.6-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre turbo-diesel – 5008 prices will kick off at $42,990 for the Allure automatic, $46,990 for the GT Line auto and $52,990 for the GT auto. Hoping to gain some pre-Xmas sales Peugeot has thrown in a $2,200 Adventure pack which includes a choice of Wilson Golf Clubs, Salomon skis or snowboard, a Global surfboard or paddle board or a Peugeot bicycle along with roof racks to hold them.
