A petition with 13,000 signatures calling for construction of the Broken Hill Pipeline to be paused, has been presented to New South Wales Parliament.

The $467 million project will provide water security to Broken Hill from the Murray River.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield spoke with Katherine McBride from Tolarno Station to find out more about the petition, and why there’s so much local opposition to the project.
