NRL great and Channel 9 commentator Paul Gallen has teed off at the NRL over hip-drop tackles.

“We’re confused about it one week. They’re sending blokes to the sin bin for everything and now they’re not like, what are the rules?” 

He also addressed the issue of players who stay down during the game, drawing parallels to soccer: 

“If you’re going to lay down, you should have to go off for some sort of assessment.”
