Online foreign interference remains a risk to our democracy

A new parliamentary report is examining the risk social media represents to our democracy.

Executive Director of Reset Australia Chris Cooper says we need greater transparency and accountability of social media companies.

He says, time after time social media companies have demonstrated that they “put profit over public interest”.

Chris says, we only need to look at the United States to see the negative impacts of social media on elections.
