NRL cracks down on high tackles

Mike Jeffreys

Dr Adrian Cohen, concussion researcher from Headsafe, joins Michael regarding the NRL’s plan to crack down on high tackles.  This follows six players being sent for professional fouls and ruck infringements during last weekend matches, while two Broncos were ejected for high shots.

The sudden rise in sin-bins comes as part of a two-pronged crackdown across the game which will see referees send any player guilty of direct or forceful contact to the head to the sin-bin as players have been charged for contact to the head and neck 700 per cent more this year than in 2017.
