New small electric BYD Atto 3 SUV delayed

Deliveries of the new electric BYD Atto 3 SUV have been pushed back to late August early September with some models now out to October. Since order books opened online this new Chinese brand has garnered 3000 orders for its small Atto 3 SUV.

BYD standing for Build Your Dreams. Its local importer EVDirect confirming its delay is due to ongoing production and shipping disruptions. Available in two ranges – $44,381 for the entry model with 50.1 kWh battery and 320Km range, $47,381 for the range topper with 60.4kWh battery and 420Km range, the latter, the bulk of current orders will be prioritised.

Both models feature power front seats and tailgate, faux leather trim, a panoramic sunroof, keyless entry and start and a slew of safety features. For information on BYD go to EVDirect.
