National Volunteer Week at The San

John Stanley

We are currently in National Volunteer Week, which is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. This year held from Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd of May we celebrate the momentous contribution of Australia’s almost six million volunteers. Each year these volunteers dedicate over 600 million hours to helping others.

The theme for National Volunteers Week 2021 is Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine.

The San Help Team started back in 1973, formerly known as the Pink Ladies, and has now seen over 1,800 volunteers donate their time to the Hospital. This week many San Volunteers are celebrating milestone years of service such as 10, 15, 20 and 30 years!  The San Help Team Manager Patrina McLean joins John Stanley.
