National Diabetes Week in the spotlight

With COVID-19 taking the spotlight away from other health concerns, it’s understandable that we may forget those who live with everyday health complications.

This week is National Diabetes Week, and the focus this year is on supporting the emotional and mental health of people living with diabetes.

Professor Mark Cooper, head of Monash University’s Department of Diabetes, believes that people suffering from diabetes can often become the victims of poor mental health due to the added pressures that their life brings. Professor Cooper joins Luke Grant to shed light on those in society living with diabetes.
