The Victorian Government expects work on the Murray Basin Rail Project to begin before the next year’s grain harvest, despite it not receiving a cent in Tuesday’s federal budget.
The project standardising rail throughout Victoria’s North West ran out of money last year.
The state government has refused to release the business case, despite requests from the federal government and farming groups.
