There’s less than a month to go for communities to have their say on proposed changes to the Murray Darling Basin Plan.

Of biggest concern to the Northern Basin is a reduction in the water recovery target to 320 Giga Litres.

Environmentalists argue it’s too much, but farming groups say enough water has already been taken away from productive use.

Rural reporter Eddie Summerfield spoke with MDBA Chief Executive Phillip Glyde about the consultation process.
