The latest two-wheel-drive only Mitsubishi ASX gains a new look inside and out, more features and refinement and more safety equipment. Pricing is now drive-away across the board – the entry ES five speed manual, $24,990 drive-away, in CVT automatic $26,740.

Forward collision mitigation is now standard along with 7 airbags, active safety control, traction control, hill start assist, 18-inch alloys, climate control air, a reversing camera and an 8-inch colour touchscreen. An optional safety pack at $2500 adds some excellent features like blind spot monitoring, lane change assist and reversing cameras. There’s six models in the latest Mitsubishi ASX range – the high-spec GSR and Exceed gain the new 2.4-litre engine – the top spec Exceed with panoramic roof, power and heated leather seats and premium sound system now runs to $35,740 drive-away. Interestingly, the ASX is Mitsubishi’s third best-selling Global model – its continued success here is due to the fact it is such a good all-rounder with no major flaws, offering exceptional value for money.
