As the war has grown longer and costlier than the Kremlin expected, the invasion has seen nearly a third of the population of the beleaguered country forced to flee the fighting.

Prices have surged for grains, cooking oils, fuel and fertiliser as the UN reports 4,183 killed and 5,014 injured in Ukraine so far.
