Mercedes Benz X Class Ute

Motor Torque

I spoke last month of the reveal by Mercedes-Benz of its much anticipated X-Class utility. Due to go on sale here early in 2018 the hype surrounded this Mercedes X-Class ute has caught everyone off guard – the Spanish built dual-cab Mercedes pick-up is based on the Nissan Navara – as such we’ll first see 2.3-litre four-cylinder diesel versions ahead of the more powerful V6 Mercedes sourced V6 variants. Interest in this Mercedes-Benz dual cab ute has caught everyone off guard and dealers are holding considerable deposits – it seems there is no lack of interest in dual-cab utes at present – the dual nature making them popular – workhorse vehicles through the week and recreational family four-wheel- drives on the weekend – and obviously one with a three-pointed star on the grille will make them an instant hit. Mercedes-Benz Aust is yet to indicate pricing on the X-Class however top end dual-cab utes have been pushing over $70,000 and one would expect the top grade V6 variants with a high level of inclusions to fall over this figure.
