Man was dismissed after accidentally killing manager’s bird Crackers

A rescued galah Crackers, unable to fly, found a new home when it was saved by Gregg Dunshea in Bundaberg regional Queensland.

But ‘Crackers’ was killed last year when he was run over by a worker. Crackers owner decided to sack the worker who was behind the wheel.

The worker who was sacked has since taken Gregg to fair work over unfair dismissal.
