Living with High-functioning anxiety

Mike Jeffreys

Sandy Rae, Psychologist, Today Show regular & Herald Sun columnist, joins Michael regarding the negative reaction to tennis star Naomi Osaka’s mental health issues following her withdrawal from the French Open.

Ms Rae says, ‘I think it’s absolutely on the shoulders of all these officials and journalists who are criticising her. They are the ones who are actually perpetuating the stereotype that it’s a weakness.’

‘To have a high-profile elite athlete disclose her mental health vulnerability is to her credit, not to her disadvantage.’
