His reforms have left a lasting impact on the country and a new book is telling the story of his legacy on the country.

John Stanley spoke with Christine Sykes who grew up in the house next door to Gough Whitlam in the late 1950s.

She’s written Gough and Me: My Journey from Cabramatta to China and Beyond and told John about what it was like to grow up next door to a future prime minister.
