Lifesaving bowel cancer treatment added to Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme

Bowel cancer is the third most common cancer in Australia with over 15,206 people being diagnosed each year.

Medication to treat it can be expensive, but after recently being added to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, a certain treatment is now being subsidised. 

Luke speaks to Medical Oncologist, Associate Professor Jayesh Desai from the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne about the plans and future for the treatment.
