Kia Sorrento GT Line is a nice family SUV
Kia’s large Sorento SUV has won numerous awards, a six-seater in 2WD with 3.5-litre V6 petrol power, in all-wheel- drive with 2.2-litre turbo diesel power. It’s well sized, competent especially in the diesel model and the quality like all Kia product has gone through the roof. Add the seven-year warranty and sharp 15,000 km interval capped price servicing and the Sorrento has wide appeal. Kia added a top-spec GT-line variant last year based on the all- wheel-drive diesel absolutely loaded with features and equipment at $58,990. $8,500 dearer to the well-specified SLi Sorrento the GT-line is getting up into prestige territory. And with Kia not yet carrying the badge cachet of a BMW, Audi or Lexus for example the GT-Line is still finding its way. As a driver its very satisfying, like all Kia’s the suspension well sorted for our conditions while the cabin is well finished and roomy, as a six-seater a nice family SUV with good ventilation into the second and third row seats.
