John Cartwright: “Preparation has been perfect”

John Cartwright is a Panthers legend who was on the 1991 side which brought home the club’s first NRL Premiership.

With a foot still in the league as an assistant coach for the Broncos, Cartwright thinks the Panthers will have what it takes to win the Grand Final, citing the side has matured from falling short the previous season.

“Last year, they got through winning 18 outta 19 in a row… This year they’ve had a few hiccups, they’ve been very consistent, but they’ve had to win it.

“I think their preparation has been perfect,” says Cartwright.

He joins The Continuous Call Team to share stories from his career and also his thoughts on the 2021 NRL Grand Final.

“(This year) probably is their best opportunity.”
