Jaguar rationalizes is XE sedan range to just two models
Jaguar has rationalized the latest mid-life update of its XE sedan from 15 units down to just 2 deleting the diesel models and now offering just one 2.0-litre 221kW petrol engine linked to an eight-speed automatic ā The latest XE gets a mild facelift and new interior, pricing starting with the R-Dynamic SE at $65,670, running to $71,940 for the higher-equipped SE. And while the Jaguar XE, Alfa Romeo Giulia and Audi A4 all road have all now dropped diesel offerings BMW with the just released 7 th generation 3-series will still offer a diesel powered entry 320d from $67,900. An interesting move when most premium brands are now pushing petrol/electric hybrid and pure electric vehicles for their next generation models. Mercedes-Benz Aust. advised this week demand for its first battery/electric model, the EQC mid-sized SUV due in October, was so high that any new orders would not be fulfilled until 2020.
