Delay after delay on the construction of the Sydney CBD’s Light Rail, which began in 2015, has been found to have caused “unreasonable” interference to businesses along George Street.
On Wednesday, the NSW Supreme Court made that decision, which now opens the path for a potential hundreds of businesses to seek compensation for disruption caused by the drawn-out construction.
John Stanley called the fact that these businesses needed to go to court in the first place a “scandal”.
