Michael McLaren hears the story behind Australia’s own Candyman from historian Andrew Lemon. Victorian Macpherson Robertson started his own confectionery business from his bathroom in Fitzroy. He then went on to support many worthy enterprises including several Antarctic expeditions and MacRobertson Land in Antarctica is named in his honour along with MacRobertson Girls’ High School and the MacRobertson Bridge across the Yarra River. A true Australian entrepreneur and philanthropist.
