Hospital parking fees will be an issue in the upcoming NSW election
When you visit the hospital, whether you’ve been admitted or visiting a loved one, you pay a parking fee which can be seen as a simple gouge from state governments right across the country.
In New South Wales, the government does have a programme of concessions with discounts for some patients.
For instance, if you’re a cancer patient and are undergoing chemotherapy regularly, there is a discount for you and your carers as well.
But why should you pay at all?
One Nation’s candidate for Hornsby Emma Eros tells Clinton she will make this an issue in the upcoming state election. “We don’t need to charge people for the right to visit their loved one at a hospital”.
