Here’s to #TakeawayTuesday

John Stanley

Don’t have any ingredients in the house? Can’t be bothered to cook? Takeaway food is there for you. Now the industry is calling on you to be there for them.

For many companies, takeaway food has been the only way their business has stayed above water during COVID-19. Now, the Restaurant and Catering Association in partnership with Entertainment and Unilever Food Solutions have coined a new movement called #TakeawayTuesday.

Off the back of the success of #EatAloneTogether, #TakeawayTuesday aims to encourage people to support local businesses by order takeaway from them.

Wes Lambert, CEO of the Restaurant and Catering Association, joins John Stanley and Ben Malouf from Craft Cartel to highlight the impact of coronavirus on restaurants and how #TakeawayTuesday is aimed to help them.
