Heartburn and reflux are common issues many people suffer at some point over their life. In fact, around one in five Australians regularly have reflux or heartburn. However, what many may not be aware of is that this reflux can develop into GORD gastro oesophageal reflux disease which is most commonly associated with Barrett’s Oesophagus. Barrett’s Oesophagus effects the lining of the lower oesophagus and can have serious impacts.
