On 13th February 1953, Mervyn Victor Richardson quit his job as an engineering salesman to head up Victa Mowers Pty Ltd. his backyard invention became one of Australia’s great cultural icons. Joel Hawkins, category manager for Victa Lawn and Garden products, caught up with the two Murrays about the history of the Victa lawn mower.
