‘Green lights don’t protect you’: Pedestrians urged to take more responsibility

There have recently been claims that we are in the midst of a ‘food courier epidemic’. COVID-19 has seen the amount of food delivery orders skyrocket, which has led to more push bikes and scooters zooming around our streets.

This added traffic mixed with careless pedestrians has resulted in many incidents where the two parties have collided.

Pedestrian Council Chairman Harold Scruby joins John Stanley and Paul B Kidd to outline the dangers surrounding food delivery drivers and to call for higher penalties for irresponsible pedestrians.
