From vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and air purifiers to electric cars – Dyson on the move

The move to electric cars is starting to gain momentum and by 2025 they’ll have a significant presence on our roads. News out of Britain this week confirmed James Dyson, the vacuum cleaner billionaire was moving his head office to Singapore from Britain to be closer to its manufacturing facilities for its new electric car and closer to emerging markets for many of its products – 96 percent of its sales are currently outside of Britain.
The highly-successful 71-year old entrepreneur has 6000 engineers and scientists working on his electric car project and other products and he’s just hired Roland Krueger from Nissan Motor Company to oversee his car project due in 2021. Dyson turned over 4.4 billion pounds last year and the technology company’s chief executive Jim Rowan has made it quite clear how they will tackle the car industry “we expect to be able to go in and disrupt yet another industry using bespoke Dyson technology and innovation.” Watch this space.
