Fly larvae increasing livestock protein intake

Black soldier fly larvae could be used as an alternative protein source for livestock and eventually humans.

A University of Queensland study has found the larvae is richer in zinc and iron than lean meat and its calcium is as high as that of milk.

Rural reporter Sophie Clarke caught up with Professor Louwrens Hoffman to hear more.
