End of lockdowns hoped to finish smashing of avocados

The head of Australia’s avocado industry is hoping the re-opening of cafes in Melbourne and Sydney after months of lockdown will help end the current glut.

Perfect seasonal conditions have seen a bumper crop, but demand hasn’t been able to match supply leaving farmers to leave fruit to rot.
