Emergency Leave: What it means for loved ones in aged care

Many are cautious about the safety of aged care facilities, with numerous COVID-19 outbreaks, and many families want their loved ones out of aged care, but how easy is that?

In May the federal government introduced “emergency leave”, an initiative which allows residents to leave their aged care facility but return at a later date.

Rachel Lane, Principal at Aged Care Gurus, joins John Stanley and Paul B. Kidd to further explain the rights surrounding aged care residents when they wish to leave their homes.
