Election result could rest on reaching Gen Z voters

Phil O'Neil

Phil is joined by Dr. Neryl East, Speaker & Leadership Credibility Expert, to discuss how the upcoming federal election could hinge on engaging Gen Z voters.

With half a million first-time voters and a significant knowledge gap – three in ten unregistered Gen Z voters in the last election didn’t know they had to sign up – candidates who connect with them will have an advantage.

Australian students recently recorded their worst-ever results in civics education, highlighting the need for clear political communication.

Dr. East argues that policy debates alone won’t be enough; candidates must inspire and motivate young voters. She expects social media to be a key battleground in securing the youth vote.
