Don’t delay checkups during Covid-19

John Stanley

While we are encouraged to follow stay at home orders, limiting people’s movement and activities to limit the spread of Covid-19, it is also important to note that people should not cancel or delay medical check-ups and appointments.

The Cancer Council reported up to one in 10 Australians had put off cancer screening during the pandemic in 2020. It is imperative that people continue to self-check at home and see their GP if they are concerned.

Dr Sandra Krishnan, Breast Surgeon at the San, joins John Stanley to talk about the importance of check-ups, breast screening, monitoring and the recent opening of the San’s new breast screen clinic, San Breast Care.
